Baptism - Asheville

WHEN & WHERE

Sunday, September 17, during the 9:00 & 10:30 services at the Asheville Campus

INFO

Here at Seacoast, baptism is important for a couple of reasons. As Christians, we believe that Jesus died in our place and took the punishment for our sins. Baptism serves as an outward expression of our inner faith. When we are immersed into the water during baptism, we identify ourselves with Jesus’ death and burial. But just as Jesus rose from the dead, signifying the promise of new life to all who believe, when we are raised up out of the water, we identify ourselves with the Resurrection of Jesus and the hope of eternal life.

Baptism is also important because it signifies the beginning of our membership into the family of Christ, which we call the Church. Additionally, it gives the rest of us – the Church – an opportunity to celebrate with you!
