21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

 

Hey Friends,

Here's a challenge and opportunity for you. We are starting the year with 3 weeks of prayer and fasting here at Seacoast Church. We do this every year to invite God's presence and power in our lives, in our church and in our community.

There are a few ways you can join us. First, we will meet at the Mount Pleasant campus Monday through Thursday 6:00a to 7:00a and Saturdays 9:00a to 10:00a. If you cannont make it to the Mount Pleasant campus, you can join from you smartphone or computer at live.seacoast.org.

Each day will include live worship, a short message, and prayer driven by our vision for this year. Saturday will include some prayer walking if the weather permits.

I would also encourage you to check with the campus you attend to see what opportunities are avalable for you locally.

Monday: Helping people find God.

Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. — Acts 4:29-30

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. — Matthew 9:37-38

God, who has called you to share everything with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. — 1 Corinthians 1:9

I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. — Proverbs 8:17

Tuesday: Helping people grow in their faith.

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.  — Colossians 1:9-10

  1.  keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. — Ephesians 1:17-19

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. — Ephesians 3:14-19

Wednesday: Helping people discover their purpose.

But I have raised you up for this verypurpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. — Exodus 9:16

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to hispurpose. — Romans 8:28

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,as faithfulstewards of God’s grace in its various forms. — 1 Peter 4:10

Thursday: Helping people make a difference.

I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do the same things that I do. Those who believe will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. — John 14:12

 

You are the light that gives light to the world. A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. And people don’t hide light under a bowl. They put it on the lampstand so the light shines for all the people in the hours. In the same way, you should be alight for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and will praise your Father in heaven.  — Matthew 5:14-16

 

In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people. Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which He promised to His people. You are serving the Lord.
