Mission Impact has hosted all of our mission teams since 2008. Their team of missionaries and partners work with rural Guatemalan communities and with churches providing training and assistance to the poor and needy. They also partner with several local Christian schools which minister to the least evangelized and handicap children. Our mission teams are offered many opportunities in major construction projects, teaching in local churches and schools and providing spiritual and educational training to pastors, women, youth, and children. MI’s desire is to use our team’s practical skills and gifts in service to the Guatemalan people, while casting vision and facilitating growth in you as a Servant Team participant! Seacoast has 3 trips planned this year for you to choose from.

A team of teachers and non-teachers wanting to share their gifts and talents are desired to make a difference in a community for the deaf in a beautiful area called Leveque, which is a one hour drive from Port-au-Prince. You will be preparing a combination of activities and learning experiences for the hearing and deaf children and adults in the Haiti deaf community. This community is made of 168 families who were displaced from their homes after the earthquake. Approximately half of the residents are deaf. They are currently living in temporary homes constructed by the International Federation of the Red Cross. Seacoast partners with the mission organization 410 Bridge whose focus is to cultivate lasting relationships and to share God’s love with the Haitians. If you enjoy working with women and children this is a great opportunity for you. For more information about this team please contact Mary Chris Delcioppo who has led several teams to Haiti and is always excited to return.

What God is doing in and through His people in the Amazon Basin is amazing. Seacoast is very blessed to partner with Project Amazon, a church planting mission, based in Santarem, Brazil. Our teams serve with PAZ missionaries to help build churches along the Amazon Basin. It is an exciting journey and many of our team members return year after year. The teams mostly do construction but there are opportunities for youth ministry, evangelism, and teaching. Two Trips are tentatively planned for the Spring of 2013.
