The e3 program aims to educate, elevate and empower young people in North Charleston to become leaders in their community and in the world. The e3 mentoring program was established in August 2009 to address the needs of the youth in our community by matching middle and high school students with a mentor.
Mentors are trained and equipped to achieve the objectives of educating, empowering and elevating the students of the Dream Center by targeting on issues such as: staying in school, finding part-time work, character development and community service. Each student has a personalized scorecard that provides an overview of their goals in five specific areas: spiritual, academic, leadership, life skills and health and wellness.
The e3 program has touched the lives of over 100 kids in the last two years, making a difference – one child at a time.
