Build Community: Play Together

One great way to develop deeper relationships in your Small Group is to play together. This is one of my personal favorites. See, community rarely develops around spiritual topics before it develops socially. Consider planning a movie night on a weekend or maybe even doing a game night in place of Small Group. Our group even did a weekend get-away to North Carolina. We’ll always look back to that weekend as a time where we really grew closer together. You may even consider appointing somebody as the social coordinator of your group. That person’s sole responsibility would be to organize events where people can get together and have a great time.
