Who should I invite to my Small Group?

Have you ever thought about who you should invite to your group? First of all, don’t expect other people to send people to your group, and don’t expect the church to send people to your group. Get out there, look for the people that you’re doing life with. Be sure not to overlook your friends, family, or co-workers. Maybe there’s someone at church that you sit next to or you enjoy being around. These are all potential Small Group members.

A wise Small Group Leader understands that they should invite one person a week, and they challenge the members in their group to do the same thing. It takes about 25 invitations to get 15 people to say yes. Of the 15 that say yes, only about seven or eight of them are actually going to show up. And of the seven or eight that show up, only about five of them are going to become regular attenders in your group. So do the math. You’ve got to invite five people for every one person that you want to attend your group. Good luck now as you go out and look for the people around you that you want to do life with.
