Jim grew up in Manning SC and received a BS degree from Clemson University in 1991. After graduation, he returned to his family farm, which he co-operated with his father for ten years.
In June 2001, Jim felt God calling him into ministry. He spent the next few years leading multiple mission trips and the youth group with his wife Paula at their home church of Manning First Baptist. During that time he worked at Coker College in Hartville, SC as a Facilities Manager and Technical Director of the Performing Arts Center. In 2006 he made the jump into full time ministry when he and Paula planted a satellite church in Manning. He served as the Pastor there until he became the Seacoast Manning Campus Pastor in April 2008.
Jim and Paula have two children, a son named Mitch and a daughter named Leigh.
