The Dream Center Clinic (DCC) is a non-profit organization designed to fulfill the growing health and wellness needs of the uninsured population in the Greater Charleston area. Its purpose it to provide quality primary care, routine dental services, and counseling in a loving, caring environment. Modeled after the VMI clinic in Hilton Head, DCC will be staffed by a vast pool of volunteers consisting of local medical and business professionals and lay personnel. Through these volunteers and the giving of their time and talents, it is the dream of this clinic that no resident of the Greater Charleston area will ever have to go without suitable health care.

The mission of the Dream Center Clinic is to understand and serve the health and wellness needs of the medically underserved in our community by providing quality, compassionate and personalized care. We strive to create a caring environment where friends help friends in need, and provide a worthwhile outlet for volunteers to give of themselves, and show the love of Christ.
THE REALITY
Based on the current reports from the U.S. Census Bureau, there are approximately 537,236 residents in the Greater Charleston ares. The S.C. Department of Insurance states that 19.4% of the state's citzens are uninsured... including one in nine children... leaving over 104,000 people lacking proper care.
Whether it's the lack of financial ability, insurance, transportation, access to affordable care, or even a stranger to lend a hand... too many working poor and their children are in desperate need of help.

Minor Surgery | Cardiology | Gastroenterology | Gynecology | Pediatric Care | Orthopedics (simple fractures) | General Health Care Needs (flu, colds, etc.) | Optometry } Audiology | Counseling Services | Educational Programs
In addition to the above services, specialized services will include Dental, Physical Therapy and Chiropractic care based on the pool of volunteers. The clinic plans to work closely with other medical care facilities in referring patients for advanced medical services requiring specialized expertise or capital equipment not available on site.
THE OPPORTUNITY
What an incredible opportunity... to be able to turn dreams into reality, bring hope the hopeless, health to the ailing and life to the spiritless. We would love for you to be part of that dream. Our immediate dream is to raise at least $250,000 to purchase a self-contained mobile medical unit and all the necessary equipment. Our ultimate dream is to have a free standing facility large enough to serve the community in a capacity that would seek to elimate the healthcare crisis in the Greater Charleston are. Not only will this include those without insurance, but think about the opportunities to provide disaster relief or raise community awareness on health and wellness. Just like a dream the possibilites are endless.
