Ocean Baptism at Folly Beach: West Ashley

4:00 PM // Sunday, September 24th  // Folly Beach Pier

Join us at the Folly Beach Pier on Sunday, September 24th at 4pm for our Ocean Baptism! If you are feeling the call to be baptized, please refer to our FAQs below. It would be a privilege for us to be a part of your baptism story!  And now, why delay? Get up and be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on the name of the Lord. – ACTS 22:16 (NLT)

What is the Purpose of Baptism?

Through baptism, we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As you are immersed under water, you bury your old sinful self. When you come out of the water, you experience the new life and resurrection that comes from Jesus. Baptism is an act of confession and identification with Christ. It is a demonstration of your covenant with God and your commitment to Christ.

Who should be baptized?
All those who have committed themselves to Jesus Christ as their Lord, by turning away from sin and trusting in Him, should be baptized. For this reason, we do not baptize babies or children who are too young to make this decision on their own.

Where is the Baptism held?
We baptize on the right hand side of the Folly Beach Fishing Pier (101 E Arctic Ave, Folly Beach, SC 29439). Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to find suitable parking, and meet us in the covered area under the pier (at street level) at the picnic tables.

What should I wear?
We suggest you wear a bathing suit with a t-shirt and shorts. We will also provide Seacoast baptism t-shirts as a gift to you!

What should I bring?
Bring a towel, and a camera; more importantly, bring your family and friends, and those who have impacted your life and your faith!

What about children?
