You can trust God even when you’re worried.
We finish the month by discovering what happened to Jacob and Esau’s relationship. In Genesis 31:3, 32:3- 32, and 33:1-17, we find out that Jacob knows that God wants him to return home after years of living away from Esau. After all that has happened, Jacob is worried about how Esau will respond to him. Jacob goes above and beyond to ensure his safety, but God has already prepared the way. Jacob and Esau reconcile. Esau goes home to his family and Jacob camps with his family in Canaan.
You can trust God even when you’re worried. God isn’t scared of our questions. God isn’t upset when we’re worried. Those are just part of what it means to be human. Thankfully, when we have concerns or worries about what might happen in our lives, we can find comfort in trusting God with those situations. God has cared for us in the past. God’s not stopping now. We pray kids will learn how to trust God, even when they’re worried.
