The Three Most Dangerous Words And How You Can Help

Every girl deserves the chance to be dangerous, not just endangered. Together, let’s provide Hope for Her!

In many parts of the world, the three most dangerous words you can hear are…“It’s a girl”. This simple fact shapes the world around them and can even put their lives in jeopardy. The truth is:

  • Poverty is sexist – Approximately 70% of the world’s poor are women
  • 130 million girls around the world are denied access to education
  • 1 in 3 women have been victims of domestic violence
  • Every day, worldwide, women and girls spend nearly 200 million hours walking for water
  • 80% of all trafficking victims are women and girls

Let’s step out of our comfort zone and become dangerous as we provide Hope for Her!

During the 2018 Chosen Women’s Conference,  women were given three ways to engage in this initiative: Stand, Serve, and Give.

Stand

Let’s stand together in solidarity and pray for women and girls around the world who are disproportionately impacted by poverty.

Educate yourself and become an advocate. Become more aware of what breaks the heart of God. Recognize His heart for justice and mercy and speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves.

PRAY for women and vulnerable children in your community and the specific challenges they face. Pray for awareness and opportunities to make a difference.

PRAY for our Seacoast Global and Local Partners who are fighting spiritual and physical poverty daily.

Join an A21 A-Team – A-team members fundraise, educate others about human trafficking, participate in Walk For Freedom, put together local initiatives, and spread awareness through A21’s campaigns. There are millions of slaves in the world, but together we have the power to change the statistics. For more information contact our local A-Team leader.

Join a faith-based coalition by visiting Hope through Healing Hands and speak out about the struggles that mothers and children in developing nations face daily.

Visit ONE.org for ways that you can advocate for women and girls living in extreme poverty.

Proverbs 31:8-10 – Speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable.

Serve

At Chosen 2018 we packed 5,000 hope kits to be distributed by our local and global missions partners. These simple kits will provide vulnerable women with a word of encouragement and a few basic personal necessities.

Volunteer to serve with one of our local missions partners – check out opportunities at each campus.

Apply to go on a Seacoast Global Mission trip.

Give

Give to Seacoast’s Hope for Her fund or support someone that is going on a short-term trip.

God did not call us so that we could sit down and be quiet…to look and think and act like everybody else. The current of the world pulls at us hard, but we do not belong to this world. We are His. And we are dangerous.
