LIVE WITH PURPOSE.
Digital Detox
Our lives are more connected than ever, but what exactly are we connected to? Endless scrolling, constant notifications, likes, follows, and hours that pass while our hearts and habits are being shaped without us even realizing it. During Digital Detox, we’ll learn how to set healthy boundaries, reclaim our focus, and create space for what matters most.
It's time to trade in the digital world for the real one.

Series Info
Week one addresses Digital Overload, how the constant noise of screens, notifications, and media can drown out God’s voice in our lives. We’ll uncover how technology-driven distraction fuels addiction, comparison, anxiety, and disconnection from ourselves and others. Together, we’ll examine our daily rhythms to see where we may be numbing or escaping rather than engaging life fully with God.
Week two is about Reclaiming Focus, challenging us to break free from the pull of digital distractions. We’ll discover how reclaiming margin, rest, and genuine presence can restore clarity, peace, and purpose. As we shift our attention to what truly matters, we create space for deeper relationships and experience the fullness of life.
Week three is about Living Intentionally, as we move from short-term changes to a long-term mindset. We’ll learn how to break free from autopilot by setting intentional boundaries that keep technology in its proper place. With a clear vision and practical steps, we can use digital tools to serve God’s purposes and live with lasting impact.
Try implementing some of these options during our Digital Detox series:
- Track your screen time this week and share with a friend
- Pick one app or digital habit to pause or fast from
- Begin and end each day without screens. Replace with daily 5–10 min “stillness” practice with God.
- Implement a tech-free hour each day.
- Start a daily journaling or Scripture reading habit.
- Turn off Notifications.
- Leave your phone in another room while you sleep.
- Limit digital technology to work apps during work hours.
- Write a digital rule or guideline (e.g., Sabbath, app limits, phone curfew).
- Set long-term goals for digital health.
- Share your experience with someone and invite accountability.
Join us each week after the message on the Seacoast Podcast: Things You Won’t Hear on Sunday, where we’re diving deeper into the real-life challenges of all things digital. How do we set boundaries for our children? How do we manage it ourselves? We’ll tackle the nuance of living in a digital world. Between meetings, telehealth, email, and entertainment, how do we enjoy the benefits of technology without letting it shape us in unhealthy ways?
