Lowcountry Orphan Relief
Lowcountry Orphan Relief partners with over 200+ agencies and organizations who work together to provide helpful resources for children at critical times in their lives. LOR receives referrals from The Department of Social Services, Title 1 schools, counselors, social workers, hospitals, other non-profits, foster parents, and churches. LOR does not take referrals from biological parents.
Community volunteers at our Distribution Centers in North Charleston and Columbia collect and shelve donations. They lovingly fill “Care Kits” with necessary items for children from area shelters, foster care and those removed from the custody of their parents. Each kit includes 2 weeks of clothing, toiletries, shoes, books, stuffed animals, and school supplies and we aim to fill all orders within 48 hours of the request.
