ReStart Launches Webinar Series To Help With Career Transistion

A career transition can be life-changing…and stressful. But, you don’t have to go through it alone. Recent global events have really forced us to reflect on what’s important in life. We’re living in a time when so many people have been severely affected in their careers and jobs. Once life returns to some level of normalcy, we know many people will need to spring into action if they are looking to make a career transition or to get back into the workforce.

We’ve all heard the phrase, “It will change your life.” When I hear that phrase, I picture some TV personality hawking the next generation of sharp knives that you can’t live without. But, what if there really is a career that could live up to the phrase “life changing?” What could that look like? How would it work?

Something More Out There For You

Some of us have been lucky enough to have found a way to make a living doing something that we love. For the other 70 percent of the working population, you are doing what you need to do to fulfill your responsibilities to take care of your family or carve out a living and get by. But some days, you ask yourself, “Is there anything more? Am I doing what I should be doing?” Call it your DNA talking to you, or your gut, or the Holy Spirit, but you get the message: something is off. There’s something more.

ReStart Career Webinar Series

As part of the ReStart leadership team, I’d like to invite you to attend the upcoming ReStart Career Webinar Series. ReStart is for individuals seeking career transition or a new career direction, and the material provided is great for those who need to hunt for that next job. Participants are taught professional career identification, transition techniques, and networking tools. They are provided a support community as they seek fulfilling work—work with a purpose.

Our online webinar series begins May 4. The ReStart Career Webinar Series offers participants a live interactive alternative to the ReStart Career Development Conference. Participants will receive the same core curriculum as if they were physically attending the conference. Plus they will have access to additional information based on current global events.

The ReStart Career Webinar Series will be held live on Monday evenings, starting May 4, and will include a total of 6 meetings. Each meeting will consist of one hour to deliver the curriculum and an additional hour of questions-and-answers. All sessions begin at 6:30 pm.

Over the last 8 years, ReStart has seen over 2,400 participants take advantage of the conference and core curriculum in order to assist in their career transition. As with any well-run organization, ReStart always asks for feedback on the effectiveness of the content. The top feedback we receive is: “This is life changing.”

As people begin to transition, questions abound such as:

  • Where do I begin?
  • How do I get up to speed with the technology of job searching?
  • What is my propensity toward a given type of job?
  • How do I beef up my resume?

These questions are common among our participants. As they weave through the ReStart program, their questions get answered. ReStart provides a structure and logical approach that often results in a less stressful career transition for participants.

So the question is: Are you ready for a career transition? It just may be “life changing.”
