Not Where I’m Supposed to Be

Two thousand years ago God’s people were waiting. Watching. Hoping. Wondering — where was he? Hadn’t he promised to be with them? Hadn’t he promised to send them a savior, a rescuer? It seemed like God wasn’t where he was supposed to be. The heavens seemed silent. Maybe no one was coming after all. But in Bethlehem, in a manger, a baby’s cries announced the incredible, the unimaginable: God himself had come.
