As Easter approaches, what are you looking for? What are you hoping to find? For Jesus’s disciples on that first Easter morning, they needed some really good news.
They needed to hear something impossible. And then, in the greatest surprise of their lives, they did. The angels declared to the women arriving at the tomb that Jesus was alive. In that moment the women experienced grief, fear, confusion, and inexpressible joy.
In a year where that mixture of emotions is familiar to all of us, we want to recapture the surprise and the joy of discovering that the world had started over, that life had triumphed forever.
