Patrick was born in Florence, SC and committed his life to Christ at the age of sixteen. He served four years in the Army as a Chaplain’s Assistant, including nine-months in Saudi Arabia during the first Persian Gulf War. Patrick earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and also an MBA in Management. He then served seven years as an officer and Regional Manager in a leading company in the automobile finance sector.
Patrick first visited Seacoast Church in Mt. Pleasant in 1996 and quickly noticed it “felt like home.” He remembers an inspiring talk given by Pastor Greg in 1998 about what the future of Seacoast may look like. It was then that Patrick decided he wanted to be a part of that future.
In 2004, Patrick and his wife, Kelley helped plant an ARC Church (Association of Related Churches) in Knoxville, TN. He eventually relocated to Columbia with his company to re-establish their South Carolina operations. The Connelly family learned of Seacoast’s Irmo campus and began attending and serving regularly.
In 2008, Patrick was brought on Staff as the Assistant Campus Pastor and Student Ministries Director. The next year he began serving as the Campus Pastor at Seacoast Columbia, where he served until coming back to the Irmo Campus full-time in October of 2013.
Patrick and Kelley met in a Small Group while attending the Mt. Pleasant Campus. They have three children, Patrick II, Madeline and Ryan. Patrick is passionate about helping people become all that God has created them to be. He is dedicated to using his gifts and abilities to lead people to become fully developing followers of Jesus.
